Synopsis: Access POS has recently installed POS Systems in both Lae and Popondetta, Papua New Guinea. This follows on from the successful installations in Goroka.

Access POS has recently installed POS Systems in both Lae and Popondetta, Papua New Guinea.

Following on from the very successful POS System installations in Goroka, our POS installer has just returned from Lae after installing another Grocery / Supermarket POS System.

The POS System consists of the following:

Five Touch Screen POS terminals all with barcode scanning
Back Office dedicated POS Server computer
Three Back Office workstation computers which will also have a barcode scanner for data entry and a product label printer

Several days after completing the installation we received an email from their management team. It read:

"We have been using our POS system for the past few days now and are very happy with the product. There is still much to learn, however, the cashiers out front have found the system very user friendly. We are also learning at the back office. Most of the inventory items and selling prices were taken up while John was here. We are currently entering costs into the system and have scheduled a full stock take to be done in two weeks by which time we will take up all inventory and costs into the system John did a great job while here and we look forward to having him over again for our next installation. I think he picked up a bit of our ‘pidgin’ language while he was here! Many Thanks"

They have also advised us that they will get Access POS to install the same POS System into their new supermarket which is currently under construction but due to open towards the end of 2013.

In recent days we have sent a Restaurant / Bar POS System over to Popondetta which is on the opposite side of the country to Port Moresby and adjacent to the Kokoda Track.

The Access POS Software fully supports the currency of Papua New Guinea, Kina.
