Westmead Private Hospital chooses Access POS for new Cafe

Access POS has successfully installed the Aloha POS System into the new cafe within Westmead Private Hospital, NSW.

Ramsay Health Care own and operate Westmead Private Hospital along with the cafe. The new cafe is located in the large central amphitheatre styled area within the hospital. The cafe surrounds provides a wonderfully location for visitors and patients to relax and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat.

The cafe operates 24 hours a day and can be extremely busy at various times. A highly efficient and user friendly POS System was required. Ramsay Health Care selected Access POS to supply and install the world renowned Aloha POS System with video order screens for the barista and pre-paid smart card technology for the 600+ employees.

As POS operators enter sales, any hot beverage item(s) contained within the order are displayed to the barista on a video order screen. There is also a "consolidator" box which combines order items so the barista knows the total number of a particular item to prepare. ie. 5 flat white coffees spread over multiple orders. Once the barista has prepared the each order it can be "bumped" off the screen by pressing the order box number on the "bump box" keypad.

Ramsay Health Care have also implemented the online hosted Aloha POS Stored Value Gift Card system for their 600+ hospital employees. Each employee will be issued a "Cafe Card" and the employee will then be able to "pay money onto the card" eg. say $50.00. The card can then be used for future purchases without the need for cash. It will also be possible for Ramsay employees to utilise this same card at other Ramsay locations with the Aloha POS System installed. Cards can be "topped up" at anytime via the Aloha POS terminal.
