Shop Retail Scale with Pole Display

The Shop Retail Scale with Pole Display can either be used standalone or interfaced to a compatible Cash Register (models ABM-230 and above) or POS System.

If the scale is used as a standalone unit, item(s) are simply placed on the scale platter and the price is then entered at a per kilogram rate. The operator / customer pole display will show the weight, price per kilogram and the calculated price. Twenty eight (28) preset item / price keys are available for "speedy" sales processing.

If the Shop Retail Scale with Pole Display is interfaced to a Cash Register (models ABM-230 and above) or POS System (requires the POS Interface option) via the communications port, item(s) are simply placed on the scale platter to weigh. The relevant product button on the Cash Register or POS System is pressed which transfers the weight for price calculation. The Access POS Retail Software has scale interface as standard as well as all mid and high range cash registers.

The scale can either be purchased as either 15kg (Max. Weight) x 5g (Increments) or 30kg (Max. Weight) x 10g (Increments).

  • Initial Programming and setup is included in the price (System Options & 28 Preset Keys). After your purchase, an Access POS representative will contact you to discuss the various programming options prior to freighting the Shop Retail Scale with Pole Display.

Scale Certification:

A scale used in a retail environment must be inspected / certified prior to use. After which, a certification stamp is adhered to the scale. This ensures that the scale is correctly weighing items. This is required under consumer protection law. As an option, Access POS can organise this certification prior to delivering the scale to you.
