Newsagency POS Software - Magazines (XchangeIT)

Access POS offers a comprehensive Magazine Management Software module that can either be purchased as standalone or fully integrated into our Newsagency POS Software.

The Newsagency POS Software - Magazine Management module, in many respects is the 'heart' of the Newsagency POS System. Access POS has developed it's own interface that communicates via XchangeIT which in turn connects to the three main magazine distributors (Gordon & Gotch, Network Services & Fairfax {Integrated Publication Solution - IPS}) for the purpose of downloading 'electronic' invoice files and enabling 'electronic' returns to be processed directly from the our Newsagency POS Software.

(XchangeIT is a company formed by the three distributors to allow electronic commerce between themselves and newsagents)

After invoice files are downloaded, they are imported then processed into the Electronic Magazines (XchangeIT) Software. As this is done, customer put-aways are allocated with automatic email reminders sent to your customers, Subagent orders are charged then posted on the delivery slip and shop stock is allocated. Labels appropriate for each of the processes are automatically printed (a Thermal Label Printer is required). Magazine labels are printed with an issue specific barcode and other relevant information (eg. Return Dates, Supplier Code etc) to assist in controlling magazine 'movement' up until the return stage for unsold stock.

'Electronic' return files are sent weekly by the three magazine distributors which details all issues that have reached their recall date. Once imported, the recall list can then be printed which includes your current stock on hand as calculated by the Electronic Magazines (XchangeIT) Software. This enables you to accurately retrieve all unsold stock which is then scanned into the Magazines Software as returns. Return forms can then be printed for your own records and a copy is electronically sent back to the distributor for credits to be applied via your internet connection.

Software License & Support

You can purchase the Electronic Magazines (XchangeIT) Software as either standalone or fully integrated into Newsagency POS Software.

You only need to purchase a single license regardless of how many computers you have with the core Newsagency POS Software as long as the computers form a single LAN (Local Area Network) / (Single Retail Store). If purchased standalone, you would need to purchase a quantity of licenses that match the number of computers it will be installed on.

The pricing below includes the first 12 months Software License & Support, plus installation services and training. Training time is not limited as it is covered under the Software License & Support agreement.
