Ford Performance Racing selects the Access POS System

Following the success of previous installations of the Access POS System for the Jack Daniels Nissan Team (Kelly Racing), Holden Racing Team and Red Bull Racing, the other big team, Ford Performance Racing will also install the Access POS System to kick start the 2014 VB Supercar season.

The "Pepsi Max Crew", drivers Mark Winterbottom & Will Davison from Ford Performance Racing, had there best ever season in 2013 finishing 2nd to Jamie Whincup & Craig Lowndes from Red Bull Racing. The "Pepsi Max Crew" drivers also took out 3rd and 4th on the drivers championship.

Merchandising sales for these top VB Supercar teams is big business. Not only does the POS System need to withstand the harsh track side conditions but it also needs to be able to process tens of thousands of transactions in a relatively short space of time. The Counter Intelligence POS System located at track side needs to communicate sales and stock data in real time back to the head office. In addition to this, online sales from the teams website is fully integrated in the POS System.

The POS System consists of the following main features:

1. Counter Intelligence Office Software was installed on the main server computer located in Melbourne.
2. At this point, up to three (3) office workstations located at head office can access the database on the server to perform administrative tasks. It is envisaged that the number of workstations will be shortly doubled.
3. "eRetailer" Online Website Store Software, which is an optional module of the Counter Intelligence POS Software, has been installed and interfaced to the main server located in the Melbourne head office. Product administration for the new website can directly be done from the Counter Intelligence back office software.
4. Seven (7) Industrial grade POS Touch Screen Terminals were supplied, which included: Customer Rear Displays, Cash Drawers, POS Printers, Counter Laser Barcode Scanners, EFTPOS units. These will be used for trackside sales.
