Access POS secures Holden V8 Supercar Racing Merchandising Deal

Access POS is pleased to announce the successful installation of its multi-store POS and warehouse distribution software system which will be used to control merchandise sales for Red Bull Racing Australia and Holden Racing Team (HRT).

Red Bull Racing Australia (Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup and new V8 Supercar Driver, Casey Stoner) and Holden Racing Team (HRT) (Garth Tander & James Courtney) are two of the biggest teams in Australian V8 Supercar Racing. All drivers finished in the top ten (10) of the drivers championship with Jamie Whincup & Craig Lowndes coming 1st and 2nd respectively.

In early 2012, Access POS installed a POS System for V8 Racing outfit, Kelly Racing (Rick & Todd Kelly), now known as Nissan Motorsport V8 Supercar Racing, which operated flawlessly over the 2012 V8 Supercar season. Word got around and in late 2012 the merchandising division for both Red Bull Racing Australia and Holden Racing Team (HRT) approached Access POS with the view of installing a similar system, although it would be over double the size.

Access POS subsequently secured the contract and installed the POS System in late January, 2013.

The POS System comprised of the following main features:

1. Counter Intelligence Office Software was installed on the main server computer located in Melbourne.
2. At this point, up to five (5) office workstations located at head office can access the database on the server to perform administrative tasks. It is envisaged that the number of workstations will be shortly doubled.
3. "eRetailer" Online Website Store Software, which is an optional module of the Counter Intelligence POS Software, has been installed and interfaced to the main server located in the Melbourne head office. The new Holden Racing Team (HRT) "eRetailer" website can be viewed at https://shop.hrt.com.au/. Product administration can directly be done directly from the Counter Intelligence back office software.
4. Integration was provided to Bluestar Logistics who supply warehousing and logistics services for Holden Merchandise. Bluestar Logistics will be responsible of full filling website orders as well as delivering stock for trackside sales.
5. Ten (10) Industrial grade POS Touch Screen Terminals were supplied, which included: Customer Rear Displays, Cash Drawers, POS Printers, Counter Laser Barcode Scanners, EFTPOS units. These will be used for trackside sales.
